Centro de Convenciones y Exposiciones Yucatán Siglo XXI

Centro de Convenciones y Exposiciones Yucatán Siglo XXI, was inaugurated in January 1999 and is a work carried out by the Mexican architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, where the industrial complex known as Cordemex was located.
It is located to the north, about 20 minutes from the Merida center, and 10 minutes from the main hotels.
The venue has exhibition rooms, whose names refer to Mayan archaeological sites such as: Chichén Itzá, Ek Balam, Uxmal, the rooms can be used completely or divided into up to four spaces according to the needs of the event- and one more room called Dzibilchaltún as an exclusive space.
We also have 6 movie theaters called Cines Siglo XXI.

Expansion and modernization Works.
At the end of February 2020, the governor, Lic. Mauricio Vila Dosal, inaugurated the expansion of this building that went from 10,000 to 23,000 square meters, and its modernization, something that was praiced by the business and tourism sector.
The technological efficiency that the venue has since then is shown in various ways: an Ipad or smartphone can adjust the led lighting via WIFi, it can also control the sound and the air conditioning system, using the same device.
Part of the modernization also consisted of providing reasonable accommodation for people with disabilities. Work will be done so that more people can access it comfortably and with autonomy.

Certifications and recognitions:

During 2022, Servicios de Salud de Yucatan granted recognition as "100% Smoke and Emission Free Space" and "Mosquito Breeding Free Space"

Guinness World Record “Largest disability awareness lesson”

On December 3, 2022, this space set a Guinness Record called "Largest Disability Awareness Lesson", thanks to the accommodations made to the infrastructure for the benefit of people with disabilities.
